By the people, for the people means that we should do everything we can to make District 3 the best of the best.

John C. Johnson, who was born in Chicago, completed elementary school at Saint Bonaventure and high school at Gordon Technical. He joined the family business upon graduating and ran it from 1968 till 1994.

John's experience in the public sector is extensive. He held down jobs as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Chicago Municipal Government and at a local deli and bar. John left Chicago in 1997 to start farming in Wisconsin.  He additionally ran a motel, built many houses, and did some painting on the side.

Two of his three children still live in the area, while the third moved to Minnesota. He made his first real estate investment in 2007 when he bought a 6-unit building and moved to Naples the following year. There, he began building his first house. In 2013, a second house was built on the same block, and in 2022, a third. He ran Sunset Painting LLC as a licensed and insured painting contractor in Naples since 2008 ; with 40 employees. He retired in 2020.  John is a member of the Naples Auxiliary VFW.

Things John C. Johnson would like to change in Naples so the working class can afford to live here:

• the permitting process
• affordable housing
• rent assistance
• in favor of opening dispensary
• will not vote to change the no kill policy at the humane society.
